Frequently Asked Questions
| Q. | Why should I preregister for the rally? |
|---|---|
| A. | Two reasons: The first is that all of the rally's operating budget comes from preregistrations. The more preregistrations, the more money we have to deliver a great rally. The second reason is to ensure that you can get the merchandise you want. You chance of getting the pin or t-shirt that you want if you register at the rally is pretty small because we just didn't know you were coming so we didn't order anything for you. |
| Q. | What do I get for my $25 registration fee? |
| A. | The short answer is that you get an armband that lets you into all the rally events. That fee helps cover the costs of entertainment, facilities, security, and all the other little things it takes (and we have to pay for) to provide you with a great rally experience. |
| Q. | I already pre-registered, but want to order more merchandise. How can I do it? |
| A. | Go back to the registration page and select the mail-in registration. Order what you want. Print the form out, mark on it in big letters that you have already preregistered, and mail the form in along with your check. |
| Q. | I bought some stuff, but can't attend the rally. Can I get my money back? |
| A. | Sorry, we do not offer refunds. That said, if you can send your confirmation card with a friend, they can pick up your merchandise for you. We cannot release merchandise without a confirmation card. Any merchandise left after the close of registration on Saturday will be sold. |
| Q. | I registered on line and my better half registered again later. How do I get a refund? |
| A. | Please contact our Treasurer, René Durham, to make arrangements for this special case. We will issue a check for the amount of the duplicate registration. |
| Q. | Can I bring non-H.O.G. friends to the rally? |
| A. | H.O.G. has a "one member, one guest" policy, so you can register one guest per member. |
| Q. | Can I bring my 13 year old child? |
| A. | Yes. Children under 15 are admitted free and are not subject to the "one member, one guest rule". However, there are additional release forms for children that can only be signed by the child's legal guardian. |
| Q. | What about my grandchild? Niece? Nephew? Can I bring them? |
| A. | Yes, but as mentioned above, there are release forms that must be signed by the child's legal guardian. |
| Q. | I'm a vendor. How do I arrange to be a vendor at the rally? |
| A. | The GA State H.O.G. Rally doesn't contract with any vendors. However, AMPed Services, LLC will be working with the Island to do vending during the Rally weekend. Contact them at: AMPed Services LLC Re: GA H.O.G. Rally c/o Southland’s Full Throttle Magazine PO Box 30 Powder Springs, GA 30127 (770) 943-4175 vivianft@bellsouth.net |
| Q. | What about parking? |
| A. | Jekyll Island has a daily parking fee of $5 collected at the gate. You can also purchase 3 day and week long passes. Although Jekyll Island is a state facility, your Georgia State Park Pass doesn't work here. We are working on headlight stickers for motorcycles so you don't have to carry around the big mirror hanging thingie they issue for a pass. |
| Q. | Do I have to wear my helmet while riding in Georgia? |
| A. | Yes, Georgia is a helmet state and requires an "approved" helmet. It is generally accepted that means a DOT helmet. |
